Day Opportunities In recognition of the central role of person-centred day activity in promoting skills, independence and growth, Mentaur provides a bouquet of day opportunities for service users. These include activities organised from the Day Opportunities Resource Centres, activities in the local community co-ordinated from the service users house and lastly activities based in the service users' home. A day program can be based around one choice right up to a combination of all three choices and is driven by service user choice, capability and complexity of need.
Home Based Day Opportunities For those people who prefer a home based program, educational, recreational and work based activities in the local community are accessed from home. Some service users may choose to continue Day Centre use with a home based program. In temporary situations where neither of the two options is suitable, a program based entirely in the home, with inputs from the Day Opportunities Resource Centre staff, is set up.
